Data Recovery

If a computer will not start or a storage device is no longer accessible, the first concern is often the data stored on it. We can assess the device and explain the recovery options available based on the fault.

Situations we can assess

• Computer will not boot but important files are still needed
• Drive is no longer accessible in Windows
• Accidental deletion or formatting
• Failed or failing storage devices
• Data transfer from an old or damaged computer

Important: avoid making things worse

If the data is important, avoid repeatedly trying to start a failing drive or installing software onto it. Further use can sometimes make recovery more difficult. Bring the device in and we can assess the situation before recommending the next step.
