Motherboard faults can be some of the more difficult computer repairs to diagnose. We undertake component-level motherboard repairs where practical, rather than automatically replacing the entire board.

• Charging and power-circuit faults
• Failed or damaged components
• Short circuits and related board faults
• Problems following liquid or physical damage, where assessment is appropriate

Repair or replacement?

A replacement motherboard can be expensive, particularly on some laptops. Where a board-level repair is technically practical, we can assess that option first and explain the likely route before work is authorised.

Motherboard repairs are workshop jobs and the device will need to be left with us.
